Property valuation
Compulsory Acquisition and Compensation
Independent valuation advice when land is acquired for a public project under the Land Act, 2012. We assess the compensation a fair award should reflect, including the land, improvements and other losses the law recognises, and can present the assessment at the National Land Commission's inquiry and, where needed, in later proceedings.
What the assessment covers
- The value of the land taken, and any reduction in the value of land retained.
- Buildings, crops, trees and other improvements.
- Disturbance and other losses the law recognises.
Why evidence matters
The Constitution requires prompt payment in full of just compensation. A well-evidenced valuation, prepared independently of the outcome, helps establish what that should be.
Other valuation purposes

- Financial reportingFair values and revaluations for company accounts and audits.
